We visited in Oct 2024 and were well received by a delightful young lady, who was our guide. Although the whole of the Island has been damaged by the DANA (a huge storm in Aug 2024), including the La Concepcion Salt Pans, we were amazed at how much work had been done in a short time to retrieve the area and rebuild the structures. It is a fascinating process, totally natural and very interesting for families with children. The area in itself is of outstanding natural beauty and the flora and fauna (including flamingoes) are spectacular. The accesses by car to the salt pans have been greatly improved and we highly recommend a visit to this wonderful area.
